Family Ministry

Antioch Kids’ Ministry exists to provide a dynamic and fun environment where children can encounter God and be encouraged to follow Him from the earliest ages.

At Antioch, we believe that the home is the center of a child’s spiritual development.  On Sunday mornings, our desire is to support parents by teaching the Bible in creative and age-appropriate ways and to inspire our children to love Jesus and love others whole-heartedly.  Classes are taught by committed volunteers who love to serve Jesus by serving you and your kids. Each of our committed volunteer teachers have been carefully screened and trained.

What to Expect:

When you enter into our building, you will find the “Kids Check-in” station on your immediate right.

At the check-in desk, fill out a registration card. Both you and your child will receive a sticker with matching security codes and the name of his or her classroom. A children’s staff member will walk you to your child’s classroom.

The sticker is important because:

  • If your child’s classroom needs you during the service, the security code will be displayed on the large screens at the front of the auditorium.
  • You must have your sticker to re-enter the hallway and pick up your child. For security purposes, older siblings are not permitted to pick up children.

If your child is in Harvest or H2, they will attend worship with you and come down with their teachers after worship.

Through Kindergarten

Your kids will have a blast with us! From babies to kindergarten-aged kids, we want to join you in laying a Biblical foundation and creating an environment where your child can encounter God. We incorporate age-appropriate worship, fun and interactive activities and teaching about Jesus and the Bible.

Harvest Kids (1st – 3rd grade) & H2 (4th – 6th grade)

In Harvest and H2, children learn that life with Jesus is exciting! Your child will learn to love Jesus by studying the Bible and the values of the Kingdom through skits, videos, games, interactive lessons, discipleship groups, and short teachings. They will have time in small groups to discuss, digest and learn how to apply what they have learned.

Special Needs

We want every child in our church to feel welcome, safe, and loved. If you have a child with special needs, it would be an honor for one of our volunteers to be his/her “buddy” during kid’s ministry time. If you’d like to talk more about giving your child the best experience possible, please contact matt@antiochhouston.com.

Child Dedication

Dedicating your child is a great way to get knit into our community in a deeper way and be equipped with some fundamental parenting lessons.

Child Dedication is for babies through preschool-aged children.

Questions before attending? Please contact our kids’ ministry. We’d love to answer your questions and help in any way we can!
